China’s primary aluminum & unwrought aluminum alloy imports hike in Apr

According to statistics from China Customs, China imported around 156,000 tons of primary aluminum in April, up by more than 20 times compared to the same month a year ago. Meanwhile, the imports of unwrought aluminum alloy were nearly 90,000 tons, hiking by 13.8% compared to the previous month and also rising by 39.3% year on year.

In the first four months of this year, China’s primary aluminum imports hiked by more than 23 times year on year, reaching around 489,000 tons, and the imports of unwrought aluminum alloy had a year-on-year increase of 8.06% to nearly 220,000 tons.
