According to statistics, Chinese stainless steel export volume reached 3.464 million tons from January to September 2022, increasing by 4.79% year on year. In the meanwhile, the consumption of stainless steel was 20.29 million tons, decreasing by 4.97% year on year.

It was expected that China's stainless steel consumption will drop by 3.1% to 25.3 million tons this year because the market will fluctuate greatly and market risks are high, which will likely cause stainless steel output to decrease by 3.4% year on year.
