After hitting a remarkable high in May (marking the fifth largest monthly export in history), China's steel exports slid below 10 million tons in June.

According to the latest data published by China Customs, in June, China's steel exports were 9.678 million tons, 8.5% lower than the figure of May.

In the first six months of this year, China exported 58.15 million tons of steel, up 9.2% compared with the same period of the past year. It is believed that the massive export growth helps to relieve the oversupply in the local market.
