Colombia's Congress recently passed a tax reform bill. In the next four years, Colombia’s yearly tax revenue will rise by another 20 trillion pesos.

According to the tax reform bill, taxes of up to 10% on coal and up to 15% on crude oil will be imposed when prices exceed a certain level.

Besides, higher duties will be imposed on single-use plastics, sugary drinks, ultra-processed foods, and people whose monthly earnings are more than 10 million pesos.
