Cost of building a farm shed rises by 50pc since 2020 as suppliers despair at fluctuating material prices

The cost of building an average farm shed has risen by 50pc since 2020, farm building suppliers have warned.

Compared to two years ago, providers say the price of steel has risen 70pc, timber has doubled with a full 100pc hike, while concrete is edging towards €100/m and rising.
