As global bauxite and alumina markets confront evolving trade flows, complex supply chains and shifting policy frameworks, Fastmarkets Bauxite & Alumina 2026 will convene senior executives, government officials and analysts from March 23 to 25 in Miami. The forum will focus on the operational realities and strategic decisions shaping the industry through 2026 and beyond.

A defining feature of this year’s edition is direct insight from two high-level ministerial keynotes. Hon. Bouna Sylla, Guinea’s Minister for Mining, will outline the country’s sector strategy, licensing frameworks and infrastructure plans that determine access to supply and long-term project progression. Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, Ghana’s Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, will present Ghana’s green alumina strategy, investment priorities in refining, and mechanisms for reliable delivery, offering investors and buyers essential context for emerging trade relationships.

The agenda is structured around regional and thematic sessions designed to translate policy signals into operational clarity. Spotlights on Guinea, Indonesia and Ghana will assess what supply and refining capacity is realistically coming online, how regulatory and licensing frameworks could alter timelines, and what this means for contracting and security of supply. These sessions aim to separate ambition from delivery, helping participants understand which projects are on track and which may face delays.
