This initiative by Fives has been warmly appreciated by Mr Satish Pai, Managing Director of Hindalco Industries, who shared his support through a special video message. "Our sincere thanks to Hindalco Industries Limited & Vedanta Limited - Aluminium Business Management for encouraging this initiative for the benefit of the Aluminium Industry," said Fives.

Strategically established to serve the evolving needs of aluminium producers, the Fives India Service Centre is equipped to deliver advanced maintenance, repair, and technical assistance for aluminium production equipment. By helping customers maximise equipment performance and minimise downtime, the centre is set to play a crucial role in driving operational excellence across the sector.

"We need to serve first our equipment but also to go beyond and to serve all smelters in India on a long-term basis. Industry will do it in India!" said Frédéric Sanchez, CEO of Fives.

With this investment, Fives not only deepens its regional presence but also reaffirms its commitment to delivering responsive, reliable, and cutting-edge service right where the industry needs it most. From enhancing its regional footprint to bringing world-class technical support and operational efficiency closer to the Indian clients, this milestone reinforces the Fives' dedication to driving sustainable and innovative aluminium production across the region.

More than just a technical milestone, the service centre embodies Fives' broader vision for sustainable growth and community impact. Aligned with the Group's global sustainability goals, the facility champions eco-friendly practices while driving innovation in aluminium production support.

"Joined by valued customers and Fives management, this event celebrated our commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions, local expertise, and responsive service to ensure the highest performance of primary aluminium production facilities," said the company.

Enhancing Sambalpur through this new facility

Its presence in Sambalpur also brings meaningful contributions to the local economy, generating employment, nurturing technical skills, and fostering long-term regional development. This expansion goes beyond infrastructure; it's about building a stronger ecosystem for aluminium manufacturing in India and beyond.
