According to data from the International Aluminium Institute (IAI), global alumina production hit a new high in October, reaching 12.6 million tons, a month-on-month increase of 5.6% and a year-on-year hike of 3.62%.

Historical data showed that since 2022, October's output has exceeded 12 million tons. The average daily output in October this year was 407,000 tons, higher than the 398,000 tons in the previous.

With policy changes, such as China's cancellation of export tax rebates on aluminum and the US proposed increase in tariffs, the gap between global alumina supply and demand may expand.
