Global primary aluminum market has short supply of 119,900 tons in Jul

The latest report from the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS) showed a global deficit in the primary aluminum market. In July, global production of primary aluminum totaled 6.127 million tons, while consumption reached 6.2469 million tons. This resulted in a supply shortfall of 119,900 tons for the month.

From January to July this year, global primary aluminum production amounted to 42.3681 million tons, while consumption was 43.3534 million tons. This puts the total supply deficit for the first seven months of the year at 985,300 tons.
