Global primary aluminum production increases in Sep

Global primary aluminum production totaled 6.08 million tons in September, a decrease from 6.276 million tons in the previous month and a rise from 6.028 million tons in the same month last year, according to the International Aluminium Institute (IAI) data.

In the month, the global daily average output of primary aluminum was 202,700 tons, increasing from 202,500 tons in the previous month.

In China, the estimated primary aluminum production in September was 3.644 million tons, down from the 3.764 million tons in August. Production in other regions of Asia was 400,000 tons, sliding from 412,000 tons in the previous month.
