Hindalco to build new aluminum extrusion plant in Silvassa

Indian Hindalco Industries Limited planned to build an aluminum extrusion plant with an annual production capacity of 34,000 tons in Silvassa, in order to meet the rapidly growing aluminum extrusions market in western and southern India.

The investment of this project was 7.3 billion rupees. The current aluminum extrusion market in India is roughly 373,000 tons, and the figure is expected to reach 850,000 tons by 2030, of which western and southern regions account for a market share of more than 60%.

The aluminum extrusions produced by this new plant was expected to be applied in construction, automotive transportation, electrical, consumer and industrial fields.
