Hydro & Northvolt set up 50-50 JV for battery materials & aluminum recycling

It was reported Hydro and Northvolt announced to form a 50/50 joint venture (JV) named Hydro Volt AS.
The two companies planned to build a pilot battery recycling plant through Hydro Volt AS in Fredrikstad, Norway, which was aimed to do the recycling of battery materials and aluminum from electric vehicles, and the facility was scheduled to start production in 2021.
