India to impose AD duty on aluminum foil from China

India's Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, announced that it decided to impose an anti-dumping (AD) duty on aluminum foil from China for thickness up to 80 microns for five years. It was the recommendation from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry for the final decision on AD published on March 20, 2025.

The AD margins for different Chinese producers and exporters are US$479-721 per ton. The HS codes for subject products are 7607 11 10, 7607 11 90, 7607 19 10, 7607 19 91, 7607 19 92, 7607 19 93, 7607 19 94, 7607 19 95, 7607 19 99, 7607 20 10, and 7607 20 90. Some products with specific sizes and usage are excluded.

The Ministry of Finance imposed a provisional AD duty for six months with a duty margin of US$619-873 per ton on March 17, 2025.
