Indonesia makes final AD ruling on cold-rolled stainless steel imports from China, Malaysia

On March 25, 2021, the Indonesian Anti-Dumping Committee (KADI) announced the final anti-dumping (AD) ruling on cold-rolled stainless steel imports from China and Malaysia. It was determined that the dumping margin rate for China is 39.3~109.6% and that for Malaysia is 37.0%.

The announcement pointed out that cold-rolled stainless steel imports from China and Malaysia caused substantial damages to the Indonesian domestic industry. Therefore, the Indonesian Ministry of Finance was suggested imposing AD duty for 5 years, effective from the publication of the announcement.

The products involved include cold-rolled stainless steel sheets, coils, strips, and other forms, classified under HS codes 7219.32.00, 7219.33.00, 7219.34.00, 7219.35.00, 7219.90.00, 7220.20.10, 7220.20.90, 7220.90.10, and 7220.90.90.

The investigation period was from March 31, 2018-April 1, 2019, and the injury investigation period was from March 31, 2016-April 1, 2017, March 31, 2017-April 1, 2018, and March 31, 2018-April 1, 2019.
