Iron ore shipment on Great Lakes climbs in Apr

According to statistics from the Lake Carriers' Association, the shipment of iron ore on the Great Lakes totaled around 5.6 million tons in April, rising by 8.2% compared to the same month a year ago, and the figure was 8.6% higher than the average of April in the past five years.

In the first four months of this year, the shipment of iron ore on the Great Lakes amounted to approximately 9.5 million tons, increasing by 15% compared to the same period in 2020. The figure was 10.1% higher than the average of January to April in the past five years.
