It was reported that the first batch of 20,000 tons of bauxite was loaded at the bulk terminal and shipped to China on May 29th. This shipment of bauxite to China was from mines operated by Lagune Exploitation Bongouanou (LEB), led by Mr. BICTOGO Moumouny. The second batch of 50,000 tons of bauxite will be shipped soon.

According to officials of Autonomous Port of Abidjan (PAA), mining bauxite in Ivory Coast not only helps increase traffic in the Abidjan port but also brings more benefits to the economy in Ivory Coast.

The bauxite mine has an annual output of roughly 750,000 tons.
