According to statistics, Japan exported a total of roughly 12,000 tons of stainless steel scrap in September, falling by 26.3% compared to the preceding month.

Among them, exports to China, Taiwan, India, and Thailand had growth, while the supply to South Korea and Malaysia dropped, leading to a month-on-month decline in total exports.

During the period, the average export price of Japan’s stainless steel scrap decreased month on month, primarily due to a drop in high-priced exports to South Korea and lower average unit prices.
