Japan's aluminum product output & shipments drop in Mar

According to the Japan Aluminium Association, Japan produced approximately 140,000 tons of aluminum products in March 2024, dropping by 13.7% from the same period a year ago. The production of aluminum flats used to make aluminum cans, electronic equipment, and automobile parts, as well as product exports, decreased by 15.9% year on year to about 87,000 tons.

Moreover, Japan's aluminum products shipments were roughly 141,000 tons in March, falling by 13.7% year on year. It was the 25th consecutive month of annual decrease. Among them, aluminum flat product shipments declined by 15.7% year on year to around 88,000 tons.
