Japan’s cold-rolled sheet and strip shipment falls in Jun

According to statistics from the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF), Japan’s shipment of cold-rolled sheets and strips totaled around 345,000 tons in June, falling by 12% compared to the previous month and by 19% from the year-ago level.

Among them, around 51% of them were shipped to the domestic market, and the residual was sent to export markets.

During the same period, Japan’s production of cold-rolled sheets and strips totaled roughly 361,000 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 5.4% and a year-on-year drop of 6%.
