Japan's crude steel output slides in Jun

According to the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF), Japan's crude steel output totaled 7.45 million tons in June this year, decreasing by 7.6% compared to the previous month and falling by 8.1% from the same month a year ago. The output of pig iron was 5.25 million tons during the period, a month-on-month drop of 8% and a year-on-year decrease of nearly 10%.

In the first half of this year, Japan's crude steel output was down by 4.3% to 46 million tons, and the pig iron production dropped by 6.2% to 33 million tons, both year on year.
