Japan’s steel exports decrease in Q1

In the first three months of this year, Japan’s steel exports slightly decreased by 3.4% year on year to about 7.82 million tons. Among them, the exports to South Korea decreased by 14.9% from the same period a year ago to 1.35 million tons,

Meanwhile, Thailand’s steel imports from Japan also declined by 13.9% year on year to 1.07 million tons. As of March, the exports to both countries have declined for five consecutive months.
