LME aluminium benchmark price descends to US$2475.5/t; SHFE price adds US$9/t

LME aluminium opened at US$2,537 per tonne in the previous trading day, with a high of US$2,541 per tonne and a low of US$2,520 per tonne, and closed at US$2,529 per tonne, down US$10.5 per tonne from the previous trading day, a decrease of 0.41 per cent.

On Monday, July 8, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price dropped by US$20 per tonne or 0.80 per cent to settle at US$2,475 per tonne and US$2,475.50 per tonne.

3-month bid price and 3-month offer price descended by US$12.5 per tonne or 0.49 per cent and US$13 per tonne or 0.51 per cent to clock at US$2,531.50 per tonne and US$2,532 per tonne.

December 25 bid price and December 25 offer price fell by US$10 per tonne or 0.37 per cent to halt at US$2,678 per tonne and US$2,683 per tonne. LME aluminium opening stock came in at 994175 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants stood at 447925 tonnes and 546250 tonnes.

LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price added US$5.8 per tonne or 0.22 per cent to peg at US$2,533.80 per tonne.
