The three-month futures price of nickel on the London Metal Exchange (LME) slightly rose by US$9/ton last Friday (June 12th), closing at US$12,665/ton. The spot price also hiked by US$13.15/ton to US$12,597.75/ton.

Meanwhile, LME’s market inventory of nickel increased by 468 tons, reaching 232,878 tons. The cumulative decrease in June was 300 tons.

According to market participants, nickel prices stabilized as the US Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) rebounded. However, it was also expected that the short-term nickel prices will go weakly and will also be affected by macro factors.
