Rolando Villarreal Cereceres, a Mexican businessman and also ex-president of a local union of business organizations, says that Altos Hornos de México (AHMSA) is an attractive company in the steel sector due to the demand for steel in the international market, especially for the United States and Canada, which requires steel products made within the USMCA.

He added that the AHMSA, as the largest Mexican steelmaker, has good, modern, and valuable equipment despite being stopped for a long time, which is why it is worth investing in AHMSA and producing again.

He pointed out that the more time passes, the more the company deteriorates, costs less, and becomes more difficult to reactivate. He urges that it is a race against time and that the sale of AHMSA should be done as soon as possible, either completely or partially.
