Mexico's steel plate output, imports & exports decrease in Feb

According to data from Canacero, Mexico's steel industry association, in February, Mexico's output of steel plates went down by 10.4% from the same month a year ago to about 206,000 tons. During the same month, the country's steel plate imports amounted to about 121,000 tons, decreasing by 8.3% year on year, and the exports dropped by 45.7% year on year to 19,000 tons.

In the first two months of this year, the consumption and production of steel plates was 639,000 tons and 447,000 tons, decreasing by 4.9% and 5.7% year on year, respectively.
