New Zealand finds dumped aluminum-zinc coated steel from South Korea

According to a report from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment of New Zealand, the imports of aluminum-zinc coated flat-rolled iron and steel products from South Korea were dumped and caused material injury to the New Zealand’s industry,

The Ministry has completed an investigation step 1, and anti-dumping (AD) duty rates will be determined based on the investigation step 2.

The AD duty rate for KG Dongbu Steel Co., Ltd. was suggested to be 12.6%, and Dongkuk Steel Mill Co, Ltd. (Dongkuk) and other South Korea’s producers and exporters were set at 2.5%.

Meanwhile, a negative determination regarding to this AD case on the same products from Taiwan was made, and no dumped facts and material injury to New Zealand’s industry have been found.

The products involved are classified under tariff headings 7210.61, 7225.90, and 7226.90.
