Nickel 28 Capital Corp., a Canada-based nickel-cobalt producer, has announced the successful resumption of full production at the Ramu nickel-cobalt mine's high-pressure acid leaching (HPAL) plant in Basamuk, Papua New Guinea, following the completion of mechanical repairs.

The resumption comes after a short-term production reduction in December 2024 due to a mechanical failure of one of the two blowers in the acid plant at the HPAL plant. The fan blower has now been repaired and replaced, allowing the plant to return to full production capacity.

Nickel 28 continues to guide annual production levels in 2025 at Ramu of around 32,000 tons of contained nickel and 2,900 tons of contained cobalt.
