Northwest Aluminum reports strong H1 performance with Y-o-Y growth of 68.37% in profit

During the first half of the year, Northwest Aluminum experienced a significant 68.37 per cent increase in profit compared to the previous year. The company also optimised its operating cash flow by 63.19 per cent and reduced its asset-liability ratio by 6.88 per cent. Product sales saw an uptick of 7.67 per cent, and the cost-to-expense ratio improved by 0.05 per cent, reflecting substantial cost reduction and efficiency enhancement.

Electricity consumption was reduced, resulting in a cost savings of 1.25 million yuan. The scrap rate decreased by 0.56 per cent Y-o-Y, contributing an additional RMB 530,000 in revenue. In collaboration with the Technology Management Department, the Extrusion Manufacturing Department undertook the "Online Quenching of 6-series Aluminum Alloy Extrusion Materials" project. This initiative reduced energy consumption and labour costs, a 15 per cent increase in production efficiency per batch, and an additional 460,000 yuan in revenue.

In the year's first half, 18 new products were developed, and process optimisation tracking plans were established for key products. Additionally, the finished product rate for processed materials improved by 1% compared to the previous year.
