Nippon Steel Stainless Steel Corp. (NSSC), the largest stainless steel producer in Japan, announced a price hike in nickel-based cold-rolled stainless steel sheets of 5,000 yen per ton, up by around 1%, applied to the June contract. The price has been increased for five months in a row.

In addition, the price for chrome-based products was also raised by 10,000 yen per ton, an increase of 3%, due to higher raw material costs.
