Peru launches AD investigation into hot-rolled carbon steel pipe from China

On January 16th, 2025, Peru’s Commission on Dumping, Subsidies and Elimination of Non-Tariff Trade Barriers (the Commission) announced that it launched the anti-dumping investigation on alleged products of hot-rolled carbon steel welded pipes of round, square, and rectangular types originating from China. The sizes are thicknesses between 1.3mm and 12mm, with lengths of 5.8 meters and 12 meters for those used in the production of steel structures.

It was the request submitted by the domestic steelmakers Corporación Aceros Arequipa SA, Tubos y Perfiles Metálicos SA, and Precor SA. The investigation period is from July 2023 to June 2024, and the damage investigation period is from January 2021 to June 2024. The HS codes for products subject to the anti-dumping investigation are 7306.30.10.00、7306.30.99.00、7306.61.00.00、7306.69.00.00 and 7306.90.00.00.
