South Korea’s steelmaker POSCO has denied rumors that it is selling its stainless steel plant in Turkey, POSCO Assan TST. The company stated it has no plans for a sale and is instead focused on restoring profitability and normalizing operations. POSCO is committed to overcoming market challenges and strengthening the plant's competitiveness.

POSCO Assan TST is a joint venture established in 2011 by POSCO with local partner Kibar Holding. It had been the subject of speculation due to increased competition from low-priced Chinese products.

With an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons, the plant is Turkey's sole facility for cold-rolled stainless steel.
