RUSAL announces production of aluminum anodes, started for oil & gas and heavy industries

According to the announcement by United Company RUSAL (RUSAL), the top leading aluminum producer in the world, it had begun production of aluminum anodes for oil and gas and heavy industries such as shipbuilding, which was part of the company’s strategic plan to expand the product range with better performance characteristics.
The estimated investment for the expansion plan was about 20 million rubles. Its aluminum smelter in Volgograd was responsible for the production of the aluminum anodes and would produce 5 types of the product from Zn-Mn aluminum alloy, which would be used to protect important parts of structures and metal objects from rustiness.
The smelter was expected to have a monthly capacity of 50 tons in initial capacity.
