RUSAL, one of the world's largest aluminium producers, has improved its rating in EcoVadis, the authoritative international supplier sustainability assessment. The company received 67 points out of 100 possible (compared to 63 in the 2024 rating).

RUSAL's higher rating was achieved through the improvement of management quality in such areas as social responsibility and business ethics, for which the Company received 7 and 22 points more than last year, respectively. In the areas of business ethics along with environment and climate, the Company was rated advanced, while the assessment for four components of the rating, including sustainable procurement, significantly exceeded the industry average.

In addition to the overall rating of the best global suppliers in terms of environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG), RUSAL was also rated advanced in the EcoVadis carbon rating.

"The supplier characteristics in all sustainable development aspects are becoming an important factor guiding aluminium customers around the world. The EcoVadis rating, one of the most authoritative in this area, provides us with an objective assessment of the RUSAL operations and compares its performance against the progress of other major companies in the metallurgical industry. This year, in addition to significant progress in business ethics, the agency also assessed our efforts to decarbonise the aluminum industry, which incentivises us to keep on doing what we have started and to continue striving to be a leader setting standards for the entire industry,” says Irina Bakhtina, Director of Sustainable Development at RUSAL.
