Russia’s stainless steel production increases in Nov 2023

According to statistics from the Russian Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat), Russia’s stainless steel production totaled around 33,000 tons in November last year, rising by 15.7% compared to the preceding month and by 31% from the same month a year ago.

In the first 11 months of 2023, Russia produced a total of roughly 275,000 tons of stainless steel, a year-on-year increase of 26%.

In terms of imports, Russia’s stainless steel imports in November soared by 72% month on month and rose by 33% year on year, reaching roughly 54,000 tons. Among them, China was the largest supplier, accounting for a proportion of nearly 65%.
