MetalX, an independent scrap metals recycler based in Indiana, said that it had agreed to acquire the assets and business of SRT Aluminum, an aluminum melting shop in Wabash, Indiana. The acquisition was expected to close by the end of July, subject to final approvals.

MetalX said the integration of aluminum smelting capabilities has been a key element of its overall strategy. This acquisition secures the company’s own production needs, widens the service range for customers, and gives supports to the company to develop new and sustainable ways to create high-quality scrap and secondary products.
