Sources: US not to impose sanctions on Russia’s aluminum industry

It was understood that the Biden administration will not impose sanctions on Russia that might disrupt global aluminum supply for the moment due to the current severe shortage of aluminum.

Russia’s aluminum supply accounts for approximately 10% of the US’ total imports, showing that the sanctions on Russia’s aluminum industry are likely to impact the economy of the US and its allies.

Besides, Russia is also a main exporter of oil, natural gas, wheat, and other metals.
