South Africa launches safeguard measure investigation on imported structure steel

According to the news from WTO, the representatives of South Africa submitted the report of investigation of safeguard measures to WTO Committees on Safeguards on June 23rd, 2020.

The representatives received the requests from Evraz Highveld Steeland Vanadium, Highveld structural, and ArcelorMittal South Africa to launch this investigation four days ago.

It would be conducted on the import products of structural steel including iron and non-alloy profile steel products during the period from January 1st, 2014 to December 31st, 2019.

The products which involved in this case were under the HS code of 7216.31, 7216.32, 7216.33, 7216.40, 7216.50, and 7228.70.
