Taiwan's CRC & HRC imports keep sluggish in Feb

According to statistics, Taiwan’s cold-rolled coil (CRC) imports hit a record low at around 11,300 tons in February, plunging by 52% from the previous month. Among them, the source from China dropped sharply from 12,720 tons to 3,377 tons, South Korea’s fell from 9,000 tons to 5,700 tons, and Japan’s increased by 12% to 2,209 tons.

In terms of hot-rolled coil (HRC), imports totaled around 47,000 tons in February, up by 9.9% compared to January, but below 50,000 tons for two consecutive months. Among them, Japan ranked first with 23,084 tons, South Korea followed with 16,325 tons, and China ranked third with 7,512 tons.
