Taiwan’s stainless steel imports & exports decrease in Apr

In April, Taiwan’s stainless steel imports totaled about 92,000 tons, plunging by 539% month on month. Among them, the hot-rolled stainless steel imports amounted to 82,000 tons, keeping almost unchanged from the previous month. The cold-rolled stainless steel imports totaled about 6,900 tons, dropping by 33.26% month on month.

During the same period, stainless steel exports from Taiwan totaled about 85,000 tons, decreasing by 5.42% month on month. Specifically, the hot-rolled stainless steel exports increased by 23.74% month on month to 23,000 tons. The cold-rolled stainless steel exports were about 40,000 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 11.93%.
