In September, Taiwan's stainless steel scrap market experienced a dual recovery, with both import and export volumes increasing month-on-month. The import volume rebounded to 13,087 tons, a substantial increase from August's secondary low for the year. Besides, the export quantity increased by over 8% compared to August, reaching 5,939 tons.

The export price also moved upward, ending a four-month slump and recovering from a nearly five-year low established in August. Import prices also continued their growth, rising for the second consecutive month.

The simultaneous growth in export price and both trade volumes shows an improving sentiment in the scrap metal market.
