Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco), a leading stainless steel manufacturer in Taiwan, announced today (September 26) that the price of 304 stainless steel will be raised by NT$1,000/ton for October, while prices for 316L and 430 stainless steel will remain unchanged.

Yusco said that rising production costs are driven by the US Federal Reserve's interest rate cuts and Indonesia's mining restrictions, causing a slow but steady increase in nickel prices.

The company decided to absorb part of the cost increase due to uncertainty regarding the EU's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) implementation and the slow recovery of terminal demand.
