These locomotives, manufactured by Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW), the flagship production unit of Indian Railways, have seen a transformative shift by incorporating locally produced aluminium casting components.
This initiative not only triumphantly supplanted the once-imported aluminium casting components from Germany but also ushered in a new era of efficiency, slashing the delivery speed of the component by an astounding 50 per cent.
