China Classification Society (CCS) issued a factory approval certificate for the first time for the MARK-III special stainless steel plate developed and produced by TISCO, and TISCO has also become the first enterprise in China with the production capacity and qualifications of MARK-III steel plates.

The successful research and development of MARK-III steel plates and the approval and certification have changed the status quo that China relies on foreign countries in the field of basic low-temperature materials for LNG transportation and storage.

At present, the mainstream advanced direction of the LNG industry is the membrane-type MARK-III carrier and the matching membrane-type land storage tanks, which have the characteristics of high safety factor and large storage capacity. It is made of special Austenitic stainless steel cold-rolled plate, and the production is extremely difficult.
