Turkey’s seamless pipe imports in Jan-May

According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in the first five months, Turkey’s seamless pipe imports were about 196,000 tons, slightly decreasing by 3% year on year. The import value totaled around US$340 million.
The imports from China increased by more than double from the same period a year ago to about 131,000 tons. Besides, Turkey imported seamless pipes from Russia, falling by 75% year on year to 7,400 tons. Meanwhile, Ukraine’s seamless pipe exports to Turkey amounted to 7,200 tons, plunging by 37% year on year.
