Turkey's stainless steel flat products imports increase in Jan-May

According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey imported about 293,000 tons of stainless steel flat products from January to May this year, marking a 1% increase compared to the same period last year. Despite the increase in import tariffs on some stainless steel products from January, import volumes still rise.
Meanwhile, China remained Turkey's largest stainless steel flat products import source, with hiking by 37% year on year to 102,000 tons. The followings were Indonesia (about 76,000 tons) and South Korea (about 59,000 tons).
