Ukraine bans coking coal exports to secure winter heating

The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine announced that Ukraine had decided to impose an export ban on coking coal in order to prevent abuse and manipulation of the quality of coal that could be used for thermal power generation work during the heating season.

In June, the Ukrainian government banned the export of gas, energy coal, and fuel oil because it worried that the energy disruption in Russia could lead to one of the coldest winters in modern history.
