Ukraine’s aluminum imports & exports grow in 2024

Statistics showed that Ukraine's imports of aluminum and aluminum products in 2024 grew by 21.7% year on year to US$446 million, and exports increased by 27.4% year on year to US$124.4 million.
Aluminum is widely applied in construction, kitchenware, food packaging, and other fields due to its light weight, good ductility, corrosion resistance, and high thermal conductivity. It is also a key material in the aerospace industry, although it is also being gradually replaced by composite materials such as carbon fiber.
In addition to packaging, energy is another major consumer industry of aluminum.
