Ukraine's Dnipro Metallurgical Plant (DMZ) announced that the plant had restarted its rolling mill no. 500 and blast furnace no. 1 in early June.

DMZ is the producer for long products and billets, belonging to the DCH Group.

As previously reported, in order to comply with the company’s investment plan, the steelmaking and rolling mill of the plant has been shut down for maintenance work since September 2019. After the completion of maintenance works, production would resume.

The plant's output of long products and section steel in 2019 was 449,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 43%.
