Ukraine's Metinvest aims to become major supplier of green steel in Europe

Metinvest, the Ukrainian steel and mining group, is Ukraine's largest iron ore producer. Metinvest said the Ukrainian government's plans to rebuild the country include the development of clean energy, a strategy that existed before the Russian invasion but is now stronger, which means seeing the company as a part of the European supply chain, including DRI and HBI.
The company is currently looking for acquisition opportunities in Europe and some greenfield start-ups in order to increase its European market presence at all levels.
