Ukraine's steel production increases by 15.8% in 2024

Ukraine's steel production increased by 15.8% to 6.22 million tons in 2024 compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, the export volume also rose by 55.4% year on year, reaching 67% of total production.

Semi-finished products accounted for 46.05% of total exports in 2024, representing a year-on-year increase of 42.04%. Flat-rolled products remained stable, while long-rolled products declined from 17.69% to 14.73% over the year.

The primary export market for Ukrainian steel in 2024 was the European Union, which accounts for 70.7%, followed by Africa at 10.1% and the rest of Europe at 8.3%.
